Are you getting the most out of your days?

How you manage your working day can make a huge difference in how you feel at the end of it

Part of being an online entrepreneur means a lot of the work in your business may fall to you to do

And it’s vital that you stay on top of all your tasks

So the road to success is actually enjoyable

And doesn’t feel overwhelming, stressful and frustrating

With that in mind…

We have some tips to share with you today

Tips specifically for online entrepreneurs

To ensure you are staying on top, not getting bogged down

And really getting the most out of EVERY working day!

Don’t Leave The Hardest Or Least Enjoyable Task Until Last

This is the first rule of staying motivated and productive.

Don’t leave the worst task until last.

Why?

Because you simply WON’T do it!

You’ll find excuse after excuse.

And it’s possible it will never get done.

It’s very easy to procrastinate on tasks you’d rather not do.

But the fact of the matter is, there are some tasks, that no matter how boring or difficult they are, must be done.

The longer you put the harder tasks off for, the longer you’ll have that constant nagging feeling at the back of your mind.

Do yourself a favour by getting the worst of it out the way first.

So you can have an enjoyable rest of the day and feel a real sense of achievement.

Task Lists Are A Lifesaver

Whether you make lists on the computer, you handwrite them or use sticky notes on a whiteboard.

List your tasks.

Having everything you must do day to day floating around inside your head, can cause you extra stress and mind fog

It’s not the way to become a successful entrepreneur.

You need to be able to see your tasks clearly laid out.

So you can make some sense of where to start.

Doing this can really help free your mind of worry.

Use your list to help prioritise too.

Note down deadlines next to each task and batch similar tasks together.

Check off each one once it’s complete (which can be so rewarding and motivational).

Then move systematically to the next.

We recommend you make the list realistic and achievable

And place it somewhere where you can see it easily!

Prioritise Your Tasks

Like we’ve talked about above, tasks need to be clear so you know where you are at with them.

The important thing with tasks is…

No matter how many you have you must be clear on what needs to be done FIRST.

Whether that is something you’ve needed to do for a while or something that has only just come in but may be more urgent.

Prioritising and putting tasks in order of importance is vital for a productive day.

Eliminate Your Biggest Distractions

To get the most out of your day, you want to be achieving a lot in the time that you have.

But if you are constantly followed around by distractions this is unlikely to happen.

This requires an element of self-discipline.

To cut yourself off for a while or eliminate distractions from your workspace altogether will take some effort.

But if you truly want to get the most out of each day this is a sure-fire way to do it.

First, identify your biggest distractions in your workday,

And then set about doing everything you can to eliminate the chances of them occurring whilst you are trying to work.

Get rid of clutter. Turn off notifications. Put a polite notice on the door.

Do whatever you have to do to give yourself the space to maximise productivity.

Take Regular Brain Breaks

However busy you may be, it’s vital that you take regular breaks throughout the day.

Schedule them into your task list.

They are just as important.

An overworked and overtired brain is not a productive or motivated one.

Schedule 15-minute breaks in between tasks.

Get up, move about, take in a different view, and give your eyes a break from the screen.

And remember to drink and eat to keep your energy levels high to get the most out of your day.

Discover When You’re Most Productive

Are you an early bird or a night owl?

If you work flexible hours, think about when you’re most productive.

If you find that you take a while to get going in the morning, get up a little later and work into the evening instead.

If you find yourself lagging by the end of the day, start a bit earlier when you’re more productive.

The beauty of online entrepreneurship is its flexibility.

So use it to your advantage.
