I’m Valerie Ihsan. I have three rescue dogs, two adult children, and a Turkish husband. I’m a published author, a story analyst, podcaster, and a life and business coach for creatives.
I support creative people when they feel vulnerable, bring them hope of a positive future, and create a sacred space where they feel like they belong. Where they can heal and thrive and become themselves. Where they can remember who they are.
I help writers (and other creative people) identify the core message and truth of — not only their stories, but of — themselves.
I make dreams come true by empowering people to set authentic goals, reach the kind of clarity that lifts the weight off their shoulders, and help them to reach the certainty and relief of knowing what to do next.
I try and connect with my clients on whatever commonality we share. I like to think of myself as a friendly manager–a cheerleader with a bit of a kick in the pants. I don’t think I have all the answers, and I don’t think there is one right way to do anything (especially a writer’s process), but I do have experience with story. I do have experience with coaching and seeing writers get distracted. I do believe I have something to bring to the table.

I offer 3-month bespoke coaching programs (like Aligned Author and Focus & Finish), which meet weekly for one-hour sessions, for $1500. Monthly payment options are available. I also have a one-hour Power Hour for $250, and a $75/mo Patreon tier (https://patreon.com/valerieihsan) that includes a one-hour coaching session each month.
My clients and I meet weekly via Zoom for our sessions. Each client has their own Google Folder with all the recordings of our videos (audio is available too) and an ongoing session notes document they can access anytime they want. I’m available via email (unlimited access), and I have a growing Patreon community with ongoing meet-ups and free content.
